The letter expresses Blake's confusion over Brunel's previous letter and explains that his firm does not wish to disavow responsibility but since Brunel was so insistent on them not altering his drawings Watt & Co exactly followed his drawings for the auxiliary boilers. The letter also comments on the various points where Brunel was insistent on changes that Blake disagreed with, discusses the chimneys for the boilers and explains what has been done in regards to the chimneys. |
