The letter explains that Bell hopes to meet with William Jacomb soon to discuss the calculations for the centre of gravity but in the meantime sends Brunel a sketch relating to Bell's theories about wave motion and discusses his findings. Folio 123 below the signature has a coloured sketch indicating wave motion with annotations and calculations.
