| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to John Yates, secretary of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company |
| Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter explains that Brunel will not be able to attend a meeting of the Board of Directors since he must be at the Millwall shipyard for the low tide but requests Yates do what he can to ensure that the Directors sanction some changes to the way the accounts to be paid to suppliers are authorised. The letter also asks if Yates has been informed by Mr Hepworth about temporarily laying on gas opposite the place where the launching ways are being built and requests Yates communicate with the gas company. |
