DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter asks Blake and Conder to find out about a proposed magneto-electro machine applied to producing gas for lighting which was supposed to be trialled at Les Invalides in Paris. Brunel asks if the machine was successful in making gas for illumination since he would be interested in using a this illuminating gas in preference to coal gas.
