| Description | Written from 37 Great George Street, Westminster, London. Russell explains the steps that he has taken to try and get a suitable indicator for the apparatus that Brunel has designed for the heating of steam and justifies what Brunel feels to be a reduction in the rate of work on the ship. The letter also mentions the progress that has been made with the drawings for the stern and masts and comments that Russell has made arrangements with the photographers who are recording the progress on the ship.
