Title | Letter from Samuel Statham to Isambard Kingdom Brunel |
Description | Written from Hastings. The letter acknowledges receipt of Brunel's letter and promises to answer it as soon as possible. Statham promises to attempt to make a rubber tube that Brunel has requested, although with the caveat that there are considerable difficulties attending the making of such tubes. The letter sends Brunel some coverings of telegraph wire which Statham thinks is the sort of thing that Brunel wants and Statham also writes his assumptions of the qualities that he thinks Brunel's tubes should have and how the tubes he is sending Brunel fit the purpose. |
