The letter gives Brunel a report of Berthon's progress with the collapsible boat and hopes to have the boat finished within a month, although Berthon explains he cannot justify increasing his work-force at the moment. Berthon explains that he does not know what more he can tell Brunel about floating logs than he did previously, although he gives Brunel the name of a manufacturer who might be able to supply and fit an example for Brunel. |
