TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to John Scott Russell
DescriptionWritten from Watcombe, Torquay. The letter asks Russell to visit Brunel at his London home to discuss both the programme of the future work on the ship and the monthly return of the iron received at Russell's shipyard for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's ship. Brunel asks Russell to be careful about his programme of work and be realistic with it so that if there is a problem, it can be faced head-on.
