| Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to H. W. Blake headed Eastern Steam Memorandum for Mr Blake |
| Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The memorandum requests that boilers for the screw engines be put in place as soon as possible and also asks for the size and weight that the separate parts of the boilers can be reduced to and how soon Brunel can expect them. The memorandum also insists on the importance of immediately deciding on the position of the engine in the engine compartment and asks what the delay is in making this decision since it is delaying the completion of the whole hull. The letter also asks for a date that Blake will be able to deliver all the heavy parts by. |
