Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to William Jacomb |
Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter requests Jacomb fill in the figures in the skeleton estimate of the weight of the ship engines that Brunel attaches to his letter and remarks how long Brunel has been waiting for these figures and how important they are to him. Brunel also mentions how much he needs the calculations relating to the ship's centre of gravity. Below the signature is a copy of a memorandum titled Approximate Estimate of the Weight of Ship Engines - stores etc which separates out the headings that Brunel wants estimated weights for and suggests how these estimates might be found (either calculations or the name of the person who Jacomb should consult). |
