| Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter comments that the centre of the ship seems to have sunk almost an inch on its blocks and asks Jacomb to investigate the situation. The letter also requests Jacomb send Brunel copies of all the drawings that he has of the proposed deck arrangements and that a good small-scale general section of the ship be drawn for him and asks Jacomb to organise a drawing showing certain rooms and elements that Brunel lists and invites Jacomb to visit him. There is a pencil annotation in the margin of Folio 303, possibly a note by Brunel's son, Henry Marc Brunel reading "? shored H.M.B.". |
