Title	Letter from C. Claxton to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
Description	Written from The Priory, Battersea, London. The letter explains that Claxton does not think a windlass would be more suitable than a capstan for the barrel and chain cable and advises Brunel what he thinks the best course might be for answering the purpose and sets out some thoughts on capstans. There are sketches on Folios 289 and 290 demonstrating Claxton's ideas.
