TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to Lieutenant Jackson, Royal Navy
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter expresses Brunel's wish to have the deck planks for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's ship treated with Jackson's process if it is not too expensive or time consuming, especially given the large quantities of wood involved and the already strong provisions against fire that Brunel has instituted but asks Jackson to meet with John Scott Russell, who is organising the laying of the decks and then communicate with Brunel about the cost.
