Description | Written from the Eastern Steam Navigation Company at 13 Gresham Street, London. The resolution confirms that instructions should be immediately given for fitting up portions of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's ship to demonstrate the intended arrangements for first, second and third class passenger accommodation and requests a model be made for the masts, rigging and sails before that work is begun. The resolution also requests that Brunel order one of the Reverend Berthon's folding boats and gather quotes from other makers. The resolution also requests Brunel prepare for the next board meeting proposals for the apparatus required for cooking on board the ship and estimates for the machinery for loading and unloading the ship. |
