| Title | Letter from Robert Cumming to Isambard Kingdom Brunel |
| Description | Written from 34 Castle Street, Liverpool. The letter mentions that Cumming has read the report in the Artizan on the Great Steam Ship for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company where Brunel states that he mistrusts most of the reports on the performance of screws and propellers in different vessels and must make his own experiments. In response to these statements, Cumming has sent Brunel the results of some tests made on the yacht Fairy with a Venetian screw and offers to give Brunel the details of future tests to be made with the ship. |
