Eastern Steam Ship Memorandum of matters required to be forwarded

Written from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The memorandum lists several matters that Brunel wants John Scott Russell to attend to including the calculation of the weight of iron fixed on the ship and the calculation of the weight of the engine and the the weight of the ship on launching, the arrangements for launching, the apparatus for the bow steerer, the greasing of the ship's bottom, the experiment on the wire gauge pipe for blowing off steam, decisions that must be made on a type of gas apparatus and the need for a drawing showing the termination of the longitudinal bulkheads and the upper deck.
