Title
Letter from William Jacomb to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
Description
Written from Eastern Steam Navigation, Millwall, London. The letter explains Jacomb's thoughts having examined two plates from the hull of the ship Pacific which had been painted with Robinson's Patent Composition and describes his thoughts as to how Robinson's paint compares with Peacock's paint in terms of oxidisation, ease of cleaning sea-weed and barnacles, the resultant surface after cleaning and the ability to remove Robinson's paint.
