TitleLetter from W. Langdon of James Watt & Co to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
DescriptionWritten from 18 London Street, London. The letter sends Brunel several drawings of the air pumps and other parts of the engines for the Eastern Steam Company and in return asks after several drawings that they previously requested from Brunel. Underneath the signature is a memorandum listing the diameter of the air pumps if made in proportion to the pumps used in three existing ships, the Victoria, the Pioneer and the Pacific. The letter also gives the capacity of the condenser for the air pumps for the Pioneer, the Pacific and what is labelled as 'Big Engines' and remarks on the specifics of the air pumps included in the drawing accompanying the letter.
