DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, Westminster, London. The letter requests Claxton gather information about the number and weights of anchors and lengths and weights of chain cables carried on the large ships and the most highly regarded form of anchor and suggests that possibly Mr Baldwin Walker might be able to supply the information. The letter also explains Brunel's current feelings about the number and size of anchors to use on the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's ship.
