DescriptionWritten from 35 Mark Lane, London. The letter sends Brunel two of Gregory's circulars for his invention of a valve, which has already been used by two other firms, and hopes that Brunel will wish to see his direct acting engine for screw propulsion which Gregory describes. Gregory also hopes to show Brunel his plans for fitting out steamers so as to provide extra hold space for water tanks and describes several other inventions or new plans that he has developed. At the end of the letter are three sketches for some of Gregory's inventions and devices.
