Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to John Scott Russell |
Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, London. The original letter accompanied a tracing for a drawing of a steam heater which Brunel agrees can be modified in the manner he describes. The letter also requests Russell find out what progress has been made in forging the heavy shaft and crank of the screw engine. The letter explains that Brunel will be sending Russell some samples of unprepared wood which Brunel requests he keep safe until some additional, prepared samples arrive and Brunel can come and experiment to determine which are the most inflammable types of wood. |
