Title | Letter from Henry T. Hope, Chairman of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company, to Christopher R. M. Talbot, Chairman of the South Wales Railway Company |
Description | Written from 1 Royal Exchange Buildings, London. The letter officially requests to know if the South Wales Railway Company are prepared to ensure the fast completion of any works that would be needed to accommodate potential traffic caused by the Eastern Steam Navigation Company using Milford Haven as their port of departure. The letter explains that the company's choosing Milford Haven would depend entirely on the completion of the South Wales Railway works including a deep water pier and direct railway from the collieries to the shipside and explains how the assumed completion dates of the railway works coincide with those of the ship's completion. |
