Title | Letter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to John Yates, secretary of the Eastern Steam Navigation Company |
Description | Written from 18 Duke Street, London. The letter accompanied Brunel's certificate authorising payment for John Scott Russell's second installment and Russell's and Brunel's reports on the state of progress with the building of the ship. The letter also discusses the fact that Henry Blake of Watt & Co has not applied for a similar installment payment and the relative lack of progress on the screw engines, which Brunel hopes will soon be remedied.
