DescriptionWritten from 37 Great George Street, London. The letter reports on the progress of various aspects of the construction of the ship including the drawings, the laying down and modelling, the plant and machinery, as well as progress on the plates and the ship's hull. The report includes details of the size of the molding loft as well as the quantity of timber used to pile the building slip and the launching way. At the end of the letter is a list of the drawings, patterns, castings and malleable iron work that have been completed.
