Title	Letter from John Scott Russell to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
Description	Written from 37 Great George Street, London. The letter reports on the progress that Russell and his firm have made on the building of the hull for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's great ship and the engines for the ship. The letter describes the acquisition and preparation of the land to be leased to the Eastern Steam Navigation Company for building the ship on, the building of the timber platform for the midship area, the building of a railway into the yard, the drawing up of the plans and designs for the ship and the commencement of the building of the ship's hull. The letter also describes the work that has been done constructing plant machinery for building the engines and the amount of work that has been done on drawing up the plans and building the machines and plant for the production of the engines.
