Title | Letter from John Scott Russell to Isambard Kingdom Brunel |
Description | Written from 37 Great George Street, London. The letter warns Brunel not to let his certificates depend on the work being delivered on the ship and explains that Russell will continue to consider that only the building slip of his yard will be set aside for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company. However, Russell explains that he has employed his whole yard on the project and that Brunel basing payment on the delivery of a particular amount of work at a particular time may well prejudice the project. The letter also describes the current state of progress on the project.
