|Letter from Joseph Miller to Isambard Kingdom Brunel
|Written from Naples. The letter comments on some of the choices that Brunel has made in the specification for the engines for his large steam ship, offers alternative suggestions and explains the assumptions that underlay his suggestions for the best design and size of the engines and boilers. Miller finishes with a description of his future travel plans in Italy, Switzerland and Germany as well as his plans to see some ships now being constructed by the Lower and Middle Rhine Steam Navigation Company.
