TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to J. Miller of the firm of Miller and Ravenhill
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, London. The letter announces Brunel's involvement in the building, for the Eastern Steam Navigation Company, of an extremely large ship and that he has been authorised to approach various firms who might be interested in tendering for part of the construction of the engines for the ship. Brunel requests a meeting with Miller so that they can discuss various matters relating to the design and specification of the ship but emphasises the need for confidentiality.
