TitleLetter from Isambard Kingdom Brunel to John Scott Russell
DescriptionWritten from 18 Duke Street, London. The letter requests Russell prepare the drawings for a ship of general form of specified dimensions for Brunel at a specified scale. The letter sets out certain changes to the general shape of the ship that Brunel wants to be made as well as listing other diagrams, plans and drawings that Brunel wants. Brunel also requests that a wooden model of the ship be made to the same scale as the plans and that Russell, if necessary, employ specially a good, skilled man to do the work. The letter is accompanied by a sketch on Folio 121 illustrating one of Brunel's points.
