The letter confirms that the rates Yates previously sent Brunel detailing P&O's charges for passengers were correct and confirms what the P&O charges cover and gives the details of the estimates for the charges and amount of money that the Eastern Steam Navigation Company's unnamed great ship might make per voyage as well as the various charges that might be faced and the estimated net profits as well as an explanation of the monthly quantities of goods shipped to Calcutta from England and details of the regular troop shipments for the East India Company.
